David George is a board-certified appellate lawyer in Houston, Texas. He has practiced law for over 25 years and has been board certified as an appellate specialist since 2005. He has orally argued over 40 appeals, winning appeals at the United States Supreme Court and Texas Supreme Court.
David has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, appellants and appellees. David’s appeals have involved virtually every area of the civil law, including personal injury, commercial, environmental, and family law.
David began his law practice by serving as a law clerk to two federal judges. He first clerked for Judge Harold R. DeMoss of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and then clerked for Judge Joe J. Fisher of the Eastern District of Texas. David has found his clerkships to have been the formative experience of his legal career. By seeing how judges viewed arguments and briefs, David learned to focus his arguments and briefs on the issues judges care about.
